OUR NEW SITE IS
PEOPLE BEFORE POLITICS
Clayton Tucker is a former kindergarten teacher, a former environmental researcher specializing in water conservation, and a current beekeeper and science fiction author.
Clayton Tucker has spent the last year of his life working with former Texas Agriculture Commissioner Jim Hightower in advocating for healthcare policy solutions to benefit all Texans. He’s running for Texas Senate District 24 to fight for guaranteed healthcare, to protect our state's environmental heritage, and to create good-paying jobs for all.
It’s time to put people first. Clayton Tucker is here to ensure that happens.
Texas Started a Movement
Central Texas started the progressive movement in the late 1800s. Progressivism is a part of our tradition. It's time for us to lead the way again.
This movement, through its fits and starts with the National Farmer's Alliance, ultimately lead to things such as ensuring women had the right to vote, public parks and public utilities, the weekend and the end of child labor, the New Deal and the GI Bill, Civil Rights and Voting Rights.
Our brothers and sisters who came before us achieved this by uniting folks of all backgrounds, of different races and national origins, of different faiths, and of different economic classes, but most importantly they knew that when we fight, we win. It doesn’t matter if it was the American Revolution or the Second World War, whether it was Labor Rights or Voting Rights—as Americans, and as Texans: when we fight, we win.
No movement is complete without you. This is as much your story as it is mine. We need you to help author the pages of our communal narrative.
The Texas Dream
Clayton Tucker has a vision for Texas. He calls it the Texas Dream. People become Texans to live their best life. Our policies should reflect that.
